There is something incredibly special about keeping your wedding day simple. No stress. No rushing from one event to another. Just the people who matter most, breathtaking mountain views, and a day focused entirely on celebrating your marriage. This beautiful May 15th micro wedding in Grand Teton was exactly that. With an intimate ceremony overlooking one of the most iconic mountain ranges in the country, every part of the day felt intentional, relaxed, and unforgettable.

An Intimate Ceremony at The Wedding Tree

The couple chose to exchange vows at The Wedding Tree, one of the most sought-after ceremony locations near Grand Teton National Park. Tucked into Bridger-Teton National Forest, this hidden gem offers panoramic views of the Teton Range while still feeling private and peaceful.

If you're considering getting married here, you can learn more about reserving the location through the official Wedding Tree website:

The weather couldn't have been more perfect. A light blanket of clouds softened the mountains and created beautiful, even light throughout the ceremony. Overcast days often make for some of my favorite wedding photographs because the lighting is incredibly flattering and allows the Tetons to truly stand out.

The intimate atmosphere made every moment feel personal, emotional, and completely focused on what mattered most.

Family Portraits at Historic Mormon Row

After the ceremony, we headed into Grand Teton National Park for family portraits and bridal party photos at the famous Mormon Row Historic District.

If you've ever seen photographs of Grand Teton, you've probably seen Mormon Row without realizing it. The historic barns, old homesteads, open fields, and towering Tetons behind them create one of the most recognizable landscapes in Wyoming. As we arrived, the sun began breaking through the clouds, adding warmth and depth to every image. It was the perfect combination of dramatic mountain scenery and classic western history.

This location is ideal for:

  • Family portraits
  • Bridal party photos
  • Classic Grand Teton landscapes
  • Historic western charm

Romantic Couple Portraits at Schwabacher Landing

Once family portraits were finished, we escaped to one of my absolute favorite portrait locations—Schwabacher Landing.

While it's one of the most photographed places in Grand Teton National Park, it often feels much quieter than many of the popular overlooks, especially when you know the best times to visit. The peaceful river, reflections of the Tetons, and surrounding cottonwood trees create one of the most romantic settings imaginable.

It's the perfect location for couples who want stunning mountain views without feeling surrounded by crowds. Some of my favorite images from the entire day were created here.

Ending the photos at Cascade Canyon Turnout

To finish the day, we made one final stop at Cascade Canyon Turnout.

This is one of my favorite easy-access locations inside Grand Teton National Park. Standing at the base of the Tetons, you're surrounded by towering peaks with incredible panoramic views in every direction. It requires very little walking while still offering some of the most dramatic scenery in the park. As golden light settled across the mountains, it was the perfect way to end such an incredible wedding day.
